FAQ

Quick answers before you play.

What is Spotter?

A photo game for small groups. Pick a target. Spot it together.

Do I need an account?

No. Create a game or join with a code. Your browser remembers games on that device.

How do people join?

Share the link, code, or QR. Players choose a name and avatar color.

What should we look for?

Choose one clear target: yellow cars, round windows, red flowers, funny signs.

Is it only about winning?

No. Relaxed play is the default. Turn on scoring only when your group wants a winner.

Can a game have a timer?

Yes. Keep it open-ended or choose a short round.

Who can see sightings?

People with game access. There is no public feed.

Can I delete a mistaken sighting?

Yes. Delete your own. Hosts can remove obvious mistakes.

Does location prove a sighting?

No. Location is optional context. It does not decide scoring.

How long are games kept?
